Daniel 12:3
Who are these, and who shall be counted as wise in the ultimate sense?
There are so many ways to consider wisdom, especially since we currently find ourselves living in multiple realities. There is a practical wisdom of dealing with the realities of this world, relationships, finances and the like, and such is not to be shunned—or one will pay the price for it (trust me); the book of proverbs has much to offer here. And then there is an eternal wisdom reference the heavenly realities, the Kingdom of God.
If a man be able to only choose one, this latter is a far better choice. This wisdom is completely contrary to practical wisdom in many cases, and often defies logic and basic impulse or general wisdom.
It begins here: To fear God.
And it ends here: to cast thy whole self upon Christ and plead for mercy.
Sorry, but this is not a wisdom you can boast of in front of man or appear glamorous when all seek you out for speaking engagements; rather it requires a humility given from above.
“Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”—Jesus
So then here is the paradox: You want to be wise? Stop trying to be. Instead, ask God for the humility required to lay hold of the Cross. That’s heavenly wisdom that will endure forever.

Thank you brother Bryan this really blessed me Daniel 12:3 says And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever True wisdom is not about worldly applause but about fearing God and clinging to Christ as you said Proverbs 9:10 reminds us The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the holy is understanding I was also reminded of James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure then peaceable gentle and easy to be intreated full of mercy and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy That’s the kind of wisdom that lasts into eternity Thank you for pointing us to the cross brother May we all continue to walk humbly with our Lord as Micah 6:8 teaches He hath shewed thee O man what is good and what doth the Lord require of thee but to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy God
